Slutty Brownies – A Cheats Guide.

So if you haven’t heard of a slutty brownie it is the latest trend on a brownie with a twist. Basically it is the most heavenly thing you could eat, aka, don’t look at the calories! A slutty brownie is made up of a bottom layer of cookie dough, topped with Oreo cookies and finished off with a smothering of brownie mixture.

I really wanted to make these but didn’t have the time to make the brownie and cookie batter so I cheated by buying the ready-made boxed Betty Crocker version where all you do is add an egg, some oil and water. However if you have the time to make both those batters then there is nothing to stop you and they’ll probably taste that bit better… if that’s possible!

Ingredients:                                                                                       You will also need:

  • 1 box of pre-made brownie batter                 A rectangular tin (11”x7”)
  • 1 box of pre-made cookie dough                    Greaseproof Paper
  • 2 medium eggs                                                     Decorations  of choice
  • 105ml vegetable oil
  • 100ml water
  • About 300g (2 packets) of Oreos
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 50ml double cream
  • 1 heaped tsp golden syrup


Step 1.
The first thing you will need to do is line your tin with greaseproof paper, making sure it covers the sides and there is enough to grip (to be able to remove it from the tin at the end).

Step 2.
You will also need to pre-heat your oven to 170C (fan assisted)

Step 3.
Pour the contents of the cookie mix into a bowl along with 1 egg, 65ml oil (about 4 tbsp) and 25ml of water (about 2 tbsp) and mix until well combined.

Step 4.
Simply empty the cookie dough into your lined tin and squash down so that it covers the whole of the tin.

Step 5.
Cover the cookie dough with the Oreo cookies until it is completely covered (don’t worry if there are a few gaps).

Step 6.
Pour the contents of the brownie mix into a bowl and add the remaining egg, oil and water and mix until well combined.

Step 7.
Pour the brownie mix over the Oreos and spread to cover the whole tin. Then place in the oven for about 25 mins.

Step 8.
Remove the brownie from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for about 10 mins, before removing from the tin and allowing to cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 9.
Place a bowl over a pan of hot water and mix together the cream, chocolate and syrup, making sure not to burn the mixture.

Step 10.
Once the brownie mixture is completely cool, cover in the chocolate glaze you have just made and then decorate sprinkles or decorations of your choice. Leave this to the side to allow the glaze to cool and set.

Step 11.
Finally cut the brownie mixture into about 12 pieces and enjoy!
